Your Health is our Top Priority Whether you require major medical (hospital), prescribed minimum benefits (PMB), day-to-day or chronic medication cover, TopMed has five different benefit options available to ensure you get affordable, value-for-money medical cover that suits your individual needs. Wide range of options: TopMed offers healthcare solutions that suit the unique needs of small and medium businesses. We are a one-stop medical scheme for companies seeking varied cover for multiple employee bands, as well as for professionals seeking the right balance between appropriate cover and good value. We are one of the few schemes that offer a Traditional option, New Generation options - Incentive Savings and Incentive Comprehensive, a Hospital plan and a low cost Network option. Unbeatable Value All of TopMed’s options offer comprehensive private hospitalisation and insured major medical benefits. The TopMed Hospital Plan is rated as one of the top hospital benefit options in the country, with provider benefits in hospital covered at 150%. Our entry level Network Option provides comprehensive cover, including a private hospital of choice, from as little as R498* per month. Access to any private hospital All members across all of our options have access to any private hospital of your choice in South Africa, with no additional co-payments (standard pre-authorisation applies). Extended Major Medical Benefits TopMed provides an Extended Major Medical Benefit on all options except the Network Option. This allows members access to extended rehabilitation benefits for five major procedures: Crime Related Trauma, Heart Attack and Stroke, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement. Unlimited hospital benefits There is no overall annual limit on your hospitalization cover on all of the TopMed options. TOP Pre-Natal and Maternity Benefits Not only does TopMed look after you when you are sick, but we are also proud of our Maternity Benefit, which offers our new moms 12 ante-natal classes/ consultations, and pregnancy vitamins. In addition, we will send you an updated book on Childcare as well as assign you to a Maternity case manager who will engage with you on a regular basis as required. An added bonus is that if you are a member of Multiply you will get the additional benefit of the Momentous baby package. Fast claims process TopMed believes in providing a professional service, especially when it comes to your claims. We process claims submitted on a weekly/biweekly basis to ensure that all payments are efficiently settled. National doctors’ network For our Network option, TopMed has partnered with the CareCross network of doctors, to ensure you have comprehensive primary care cover wherever you are in the country. Additional Wellness Benefits TopMed offers a Wellness Benefit on both the Incentive Savings and Incentive Comprehensive Options, allowing you access to certain preventative screening tests which are payable from TopMed’s Major Medical Benefit, thus extending members’ day-to-day benefits. Healthsaver In partnership with Momentum, TopMed offers its members the Health Saver product. This fee-free, interest bearing account will allow to you pay for additional health care expenses such as co-payments and exclusions, which are not covered by the scheme.
